Recsystem® fabrics represent the next generation of Recacril® textiles, engineered for superior impermeability with a hydrostatic head rating exceeding 1000 mm. Enhanced by the Infinity Process and a high-tech resin coating applied to one side, these fabrics deliver exceptional water resistance.

The proprietary coating and application method also provide outstanding wrinkle resistance, minimizing the creases commonly encountered during manufacturing. Unlike many alternatives, the coated side of Recsystem® fabrics maintains a matte finish without any shine or whitish appearance.

Available in 47"/120 cm widths, Recsystem® canvases come in an extensive range of solid colors and stripes, making them an excellent choice for awnings that demand superior water resistance and aesthetic versatility.

Produced under stringent quality control, Recsystem® canvases fully comply with the UNE-EN 13561:2004+A1:2009 standard, meeting all performance and safety requirements for awnings.

Antimicrobial Treatment

Acrylic-coated canvases can be vulnerable to damage caused by microorganisms such as molds, algae, and bacteria. To preserve the integrity and quality of our fabrics, Recsystem® canvases are treated with advanced antimicrobial agents that offer effective protection against these threats.

While the antimicrobial treatment inhibits microorganism growth directly on the fabric, they may still develop on accumulated dirt and other residues. Therefore, regular cleaning, as detailed in the Maintenance Section, is essential to maximize the lifespan and performance of Recsystem® canvases.

Recsystem® Warranty

RECASENS offers a 5-year warranty from the date of installation, covering Recsystem® fabrics against decomposition and fading. This warranty applies exclusively to fabrics that are regularly maintained and used under normal conditions.

At RECASENS’ discretion, we will either replace the defective fabric free of charge or reimburse the invoice value of the affected fabric section. Please note, this warranty does not cover any additional costs or compensation.

Warranty Exclusions

The warranty does not cover damage caused by:

  • Improper maintenance or the use of unsuitable cleaning products or tools. The use of detergents, chemicals, solvents, scrapers, or any instruments that may damage the fabric fibers is prohibited.
  • Aging and normal wear.
  • Soiling caused by animals.
  • Accidents, natural events, or repairs due to these causes.
  • Faulty assembly, user mishandling, hanging objects on the fabric, impacts (including road accidents), vandalism, burns (from cigarettes or other sources), or fire.
  • Lightning strikes or unusual climatic and environmental conditions.
  • Costs related to mechanical components (hardware, mechanisms, structures) and any manufacturing, assembly, or installation expenses.

This warranty becomes effective on the installation date of awnings, curtains, or any other products made with RECASENS canvases.

As RECASENS canvases are a component of the final product, please contact your installer or distributor if you identify any defective fabric.

Maintenance for Recsystem® Canvases

Maintenance for Recsystem® Canvases

The advanced Infinity Process finish equips RECASENS canvases with long-lasting protection against mold, along with excellent water and oil repellency. This ensures your awnings provide reliable protection from both sun and rain for many years.

However, the buildup of dust, airborne pollutants, organic debris, and dirt can impair this protection and shorten the fabric’s lifespan. Proper cleaning and maintenance are vital to preserve performance.

Routine Cleaning

  • Clean the canvas monthly with a low-pressure hose to prevent dirt accumulation.
  • Always ensure the fabric is completely dry before closing or storing the awning.
  • The awning may remain open during rain, as rainwater helps wash away dirt. If rolling up while wet, unroll as soon as possible to allow thorough drying.
  • During extended periods of rain, it is advisable to keep the awning rolled up.

Thorough Cleaning (Every 2–3 Years)

  1. Gently brush off loose dust and dirt using a soft brush; avoid stiff brushes to protect the fabric surface.
  2. Rinse the awning with clean water using a low-pressure hose only; high-pressure washing is not recommended.
  3. Prepare a solution of solvent-free soap mixed with warm water (not exceeding 40ºC) and apply to dissolve dirt and debris.
  4. Rinse thoroughly with clean water to remove all soap residues.
  5. Allow the awning to air dry completely in a wind-protected area.

Fungal Stain Removal

Although Recsystem® fabrics resist fungal growth, fungi can develop on embedded dirt. To remove fungal stains:

  1. Brush off dirt gently with a soft brush.
  2. Prepare a cleaning solution with 10% household bleach, 20% solvent-free neutral detergent, and 70% water.
  3. Apply the solution to the fabric and leave for 15–20 minutes maximum.
  4. Rinse thoroughly several times with clean water to remove all bleach residues.
  5. Air dry the awning completely in a wind-protected area.
  6. Repeat if necessary.

Environmental Note

Please dispose of cleaning chemicals and wastewater responsibly to protect surrounding plants, animals, and ecosystems, as bleach and other substances may cause harm.

Consumer Information

Minor imperfections in the material may occur during handling, preparation, or installation of the awning.

Whitish, marbled streaks—known as “crazing”—can sometimes appear on the fabric surface during folding, handling, or fabrication. This occurs when the fabric is folded, creating micro-fractures in the finish that cause light to refract differently. Crazing is more common in lighter-colored fabrics. Additionally, small folds may form along seams when rolling the canvas due to increased fabric thickness at these points.

These minor irregularities are inherent to acrylic fibers and do not affect the fabric’s performance or durability. Therefore, they are not considered defects and are not the responsibility of the installer or manufacturer.
