NO. RECASENS manufactures a variety of high-quality canvases used as the fabric component in products such as awnings, umbrellas, cushions, and marine covers. However, we do not produce finished products or any components other than our fabrics.

RECASENS offers a 5-year warranty (10-year warranty for Recacril and RecScreen) covering the functional strength and colorfastness of fabrics regularly maintained and used under normal environmental conditions.

Most stains can be easily removed using a mild soap dissolved in warm water (no warmer than 104ºF/40ºC). Apply gently with a sponge or soft brush, then rinse thoroughly and allow the canvas to air dry.

For stubborn stains on acrylic canvases, use a solution of 10% household bleach, 20% neutral detergent, and 70% water. Apply to the fabric, let it sit for 15 to 20 minutes max, rinse thoroughly to remove all bleach residue, and dry completely.

For detailed cleaning instructions, please see our Maintenance section.

If fabric defects are confirmed, RECASENS will either replace the faulty section free of charge or, at its discretion, reimburse its invoice value. Additional costs or compensation are not covered.

Solution-dyed acrylic fiber is manufactured by adding special UV-resistant pigments directly to the liquid polymer before the fiber is formed. This process ensures the color is evenly distributed throughout the fiber, from core to surface, resulting in vibrant, long-lasting color.

The warranty DOES NOT cover damage caused by:

  • Improper maintenance or use of unsuitable cleaning products or tools. (No detergents, chemicals, solvents, scrapers, or instruments that could damage the fabric.)
  • Normal aging and wear.
  • Atmospheric or phytosanitary pollution.
  • Animal-related soiling.
  • Accidents, negligence not attributable to RECASENS, abuse, or force majeure events such as natural disasters or war.
  • Faulty assembly or handling by the user, chemical spills, hanging objects on the fabric, impacts, road accidents, vandalism, burns (cigarettes or other sources), or fire.
  • Lightning, wind, heavy rains, or other extreme environmental conditions.

Acrylic fibers offer enhanced resistance to UV rays. When dyed with high lightfastness pigments, they produce fabrics with exceptional weather resistance—both in color retention and mechanical durability. Additionally, acrylic fibers resist rot, mold, and fungus.

NO. Costs related to mechanical components (hardware, mechanisms, structures), manufacturing, assembly, or installation are excluded.

Polyester yarns are more flexible and have greater resistance to bending and torsion than fiberglass yarns. Unlike fiberglass yarns, polyester screen fabrics do not break from fatigue. Furthermore, PVC adheres well to high-tenacity polyester yarns, and both materials respond similarly to temperature changes, preventing edge fraying. RecScreen products, Nautimar, and Nautiplus are manufactured using polyester yarns.

The warranty starts on the installation date of awnings, umbrellas, cushions, marine covers, or other products made with RECASENS canvases.

YES. Acrylic canvases are ideal for thermal transfer printing or screen printing for its quality and sharpness.

Yes. Minor irregularities such as mottling, waffling, or folds caused by handling during fabric preparation or installation are natural characteristics of acrylic fibers and do not compromise the fabric’s performance.

RECASENS canvases are treated to resist dirt adherence, making cleaning easier. However, deposits from animals or embedded dirt due to lack of proper maintenance may require more intensive cleaning, as described in the Maintenance section.

The RECASENS’ canvases are a component of the final product. Contact your installer or distributor if you identify any fabric defects.

The water column measures the water pressure a fabric can withstand before leaking begins, indicating its resistance to water penetration. A higher water column value means greater water resistance.

Yes. RECASENS exports over two-thirds of its production to more than 70 countries worldwide.

Water- and oil-repellent finishes improve the fabric’s resistance to absorbing moisture and oils, enhancing stain resistance and overall durability.

While RECASENS canvases are highly durable, accumulation of dust, air pollution, organic matter, and general dirt can cause premature aging. To maximize lifespan, regular maintenance as outlined in each product line’s maintenance guidelines is essential.

Recacril® canvases are primarily designed for sun protection. When properly maintained and installed with a minimum slope of 14°, they offer good protection against light, short-duration rain.

In the U.S. and Canada, please email customerservices@recasensusa.com or contact a RECASENS USA sales representative for information about distributors near you.   For information about distributors in other countries, please contact S. A. RECASENS export department at export@recasens.com.

For awnings providing both sun protection and reliable rain resistance, we recommend choosing more waterproof fabrics such as those in the Recsystem® and Recwater® collections.

YES. All fabrics absorb and reflect a portion of the sun’s UV radiation. Protection effectiveness depends on fabric thickness, weight, weave openness, and color. Darker Recacril® canvases block a higher percentage of UV rays compared to lighter or more open-weave materials, offering greater sun protection.
